The mission of the Partridge Society is to encourage alumni, parents, and friends of Norwich University to help the University achieve its financial goals and to formally recognize those who do so.
There are four categories of Partridge Society membership: Annual Members, Lifetime Members, Garrison Associates and members of the 1819 Circle.
Annual Membership is offered in four levels depending on when you graduated.
- Undergraduate alumni who make gifts to Norwich totaling at least $200 during a fiscal year (June 1 - May 31) will be recognized as Annual Members, if they have graduated within the last five years.
- School of Graduate and Continuing Studies alumni who make gifts to Norwich totaling at least $500 during a fiscal year (June 1 – May 31) will be recognized as Annual Members, if they have graduated within the last five years.
- Undergraduate alumni who make gifts to Norwich totaling at least $500 during a fiscal year (June 1 - May 31) will be recognized as Annual Members, if they have graduated within the last six to ten years.
- All other alumni and friends who make gifts to Norwich totaling at least $1,000 during a fiscal year (June 1 - May 31) will be
recognized as Annual Members.
Lifetime, Generals and Chairman’s Club Memberships recognize cumulative lifetime giving of $20,000 or more.

$6,000,000 - $7,999,999 / Chairman’s Four Diamond Club
$4,000,000 - $5,999,999 / Chairman’s Three Diamond Club
$2,000,000 - $3,999,999 / Chairman’s Two Diamond Club
$1,000,000 - $1,999,999 / Chairman’s One Diamond Club
$750,000 - $999,999 / Five-Star General
$500,000 – $749,999 / Four-Star General
$250,000 – $499,999 / Three-Star General
$100,000 – $249,999 / Two-Star General
$50,000 - $99,999 / One-Star General
$20,000 - $49,999 / Lifetime
Garrison Associates Members are recognized for their consecutive annual gifts to Norwich University. Members of the Garrison Associates are recognized at five-year intervals (5 years, 10 years, 15 years,etc.). If a donor misses a year, their next gift will restart the consecutive gift counting.
1819 Circle Members are recognized for their planned or deferred gifts to Norwich University. Members of the 1819 Circle have included Norwich in their wills or trusts or have made other gifts to Norwich through their estate plan, such as a life income gift (charitable gift annuity or remainder trust), (charitable gift annuity or remainder trust), gift of life insurance, or gift of real estate.
Partridge Society Members are recognized in the Norwich University Annual Report. Members also receive a Partridge Society membership pin and are invited to attend the annual Partridge Society Luncheon held on Homecoming Weekend.
