Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Norwich. Here are the basic commitments for each of the volunteer groups we have within our departments.

Volunteer with Students

  • Undergraduate Admissions Ambassadors



        • attend college fairs
        • visit local high schools (in your region)
        • contact prospective students

  • Alumni Admissions Ambassadors - Online



        • meet with / talk to prospective students to answer questions
        • share stories about your Norwich experience
        • Support and attend Norwich events in your area
        • help prospects determine whether Norwich is the right fit

  • Internship CityLab Champions


    CityLab Champions enable students to live and work in another city for a semester while they complete their full-time coursework online. In DC and Denver, Norwich has established partnerships and organized student life requirements for teams of Norwich interns.

    As an Internship CityLab Champion, you would assist in the support of interns in your area and do some/all of the following:
        • Favored internship access: provide internships where you work or leads for internships

        • Help coordinate logistics with advice to students for housing and transportations options
        • Interact regularly during the experience: mentoring, social interaction, networking events
        • Learn more about being an Internship CityLab Champion 

  • NU Parent & Family Association

     
        • Assist with on-campus events:
               - Arrival Days (for both Corps and Civilian students)
               - Open Houses
               - Parent & Family Weekend
        • Assist with events in your communities:
               - Student Sendoffs
               - New Graduate Events
               - Networking Socials
        • Learn more about the Parent & Family Association

Volunteer with Fellow Alumni

  • Norwich Clubs - Around the Country



        • Assist with planning of events in your community
        • Attend quarterly Clubs conference call

  • NU Alumni Association



        • 3 meetings a year, on campus
    (meetings are held in May/ June, September/ October and January/ February)
        • Committee involvement, to include monthly conference calls
        • Support and attend Norwich events in your area
    • Stay engaged, Lead from the Front and Build the Future of Norwich
        • Enthusiastically promote Norwich within your community, and become an ambassador of the University

  • Class Reunions and Class Giving

  • NU Regimental Drill Team Association (NURDTA)



    The NU Regimental Drill Team Association advocates and supports this program at Norwich University. We:
        • raise funds and
        • encourage alumni, friends, and families to support the Drill Team.

    The mission of the Partridge Society is to:
        • encourage alumni, parents, and friends of Norwich to help the University achieve its financial goals and

    Support the Norwich University Cemetery. Forward the association's goals in promoting the cemetery as:
        • a final resting place in a quiet, peaceful setting
        • on a hillside several 100 ft. above the Dog River Valley floor
        • with a scenic overlook of the Norwich campus

  • NU Military Writers' Symposium Associates



    Members seek to enhance the symposium through
        • recommendations of authors
        • fostering and encouraging an appreciation of the program by students, faculty and the public
