Dedication of Schneider Hall
The longest-seated president in the history of Norwich University, Dr. Richard W. Schneider proudly carried forth the legacy Norwich founder Captain Alden Partridge began in 1819 of developing "citizen soldiers." Through his service as a Coast Guard Officer and his experience in academia, Dr. Schneider epitomized Norwich's unique position in American higher education, honoring and emulating the university’s guiding values.
The former Webb Hall has been dedicated as Schneider Hall in honor of President Schneider's enduring leadership to our nation and to Norwich, his longtime commitment and enduring contributions to the university.
