Since 2024, Women Kicking Glass has grown into a vibrant organization focused on recognizing trailblazing women and alumnae accomplishments, and providing educational, professional and personal development opportunities for alumni and students. Among our initiatives are social events and networking opportunities, a book club, a Dressing for Success program, and a scholarship to help deserving women attend Norwich. Join us!
Join Norwich alumni and friends as we embark on an empowering journey through literature. Every other month we will select a book that celebrates the power, courage and resilience of women. The March 2026 book club selection is The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton.
Help fill our clothes racks! We are seeking donations of men’s and women’s professional work attire to help students prepare for internships, job interviews and social events. Dressing for Success takes place each year in February.

Women Kicking Glass celebrates Norwich’s trailblazing women, inspiring leaders, alumnae accomplishments, and significant NU ‘firsts.’ This series highlights women who have had an impact on our university, students and alumni.
The Women Kicking Glass Award is presented annually at Homecoming to a Norwich alumna who embodies the courage, resilience, and leadership that leaves an enduring impact. The recipient is a barrier-breaker; someone who has not only shattered glass ceilings in her field or community but also created opportunities for other women to rise. This award celebrates the legacy of those who go first, stand tall, and leave the door open behind them.
