Women Kicking Glass
In 2024 Norwich celebrated a significant milestone in the university’s history: 50 years of women living on the Northfield campus and joining the Corps of Cadets.
The Women Kicking Glass initiative recognized the trailblazing women, alumnae accomplishments and significant NU ‘firsts’ that paved the way for those that have followed. We also created a scholarship to help deserving women attend Norwich.
Since then, Women Kicking Glass has grown into a vibrant organization focused on providing educational, professional and personal development opportunities for alumni and students.
We are hosting events, exhibits and networking opportunities across the country, we launched a book club and Dressing for Success program, collected oral histories, and are planning an inspiring conference for women in 2027. Join us!

Women Kicking Glass - Book Discussion Club
Join Norwich alumni and friends as we embark on an empowering journey through literature. Every other month we will select a book that celebrates the power, courage and resilience of women. The March 2026 book club selection is The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton.
Dressing For Success 2026: February 9-10
Help fill our clothes racks! We are seeking donations of men’s and women’s professional work attire to help students prepare for internships, job interviews and social events. Dressing for Success takes place on campus February 9-10, 2026.

Donate ball gowns, prom dresses, formal wear and accessories to provide Norwich students with free attire for the Regimental Ball, Air Force Ball and other formal events.
