Women Kicking Glass Award
The Women Kicking Glass Award is presented annually at Homecoming to a Norwich alumna who embodies the courage, resilience, and leadership that leaves an enduring impact. The recipient is a barrier-breaker; someone who has not only shattered glass ceilings in her field or community but also created opportunities for other women to rise. This award celebrates the legacy of those who go first, stand tall, and leave the door open behind them.

The award will be presented during the Homecoming Alumni Parade on October 17, 2026.
CRITERIA:
Awarded to a graduate of Norwich University that has demonstrated the following attributes:
- Barrier-Breaking Leadership: demonstrated success and/or leadership in traditionally male-dominated field, organization, or community.
- Professional Excellence: achieved significant accomplishments in her profession or industry
- Mentorship & Advocacy: actively mentors and uplifts other women or underrepresented groups, championing equity and inclusion and paving the way for future opportunities for women.
- Grit: overcame significant obstacles (personal, social, or professional) to succeed, embodying courage, and grace under pressure.
- Norwich Values: upholds and models Norwich's values of service, duty and integrity and gives back to the university through their time, talent and/or treasure.
