Whether you're a current family or new to Norwich we have many resources to help you and your student navigate your Norwich journey.

Please note the holiday break periods and important details:

Thanksgiving Break:

  • Residence Halls and Barracks close on November 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Residence Halls and Barracks reopen on November 30, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Last meal: Dinner on November 22, 2024
  • First meal: Brunch on December 1, 2024.

Winter Break:

  • Residence Halls and Barracks close on December 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Residence Halls and Barracks reopen on January 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. for Graduate students, Nursing students, Student Leaders, and Athletes.
  • Residence Halls and Barracks reopen on January 7, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. for all remaining undergraduate students and new arrivals.
  • January 9, 2025 Spring semester begins
  • Last meal: Dinner on December 16, 2024.
  • First meal: Breakfast on January 8, 2025.

Spring Break:

  • Residence Halls and Barracks close on March 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Residence Halls and Barracks reopen on March 8, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
  • Last meal: Dinner on February 28, 2025.
  • First meal: Brunch on March 2, 2025.

As a reminder, food services will not be available on campus during the break periods, but shuttle services to local grocery stores will be provided.
 
Break Period Cost:
The Break Stay Request Form will be available starting October 4, 2024 on the NU Living Portal. Break Stays costs are as follows:
•    Thanksgiving Break: $365
•    Winter Break: $1,100
•    Spring Break: $365
The cost for Break Stays will be applied directly to your student bill.
Please note that Winter Break stay requests are rarely approved and will only be granted to students with a justifiable need based on specific criteria.

Montpelier Train Station: Train Station Shuttle Service
Burlington International Airport (BTV): Vermont Tour and Charter or  Vermont Shuttle
Logan Airport: Dartmouth Coach
