♦ 7 - 8 p.m. - Reception for mentors and teams & distribution of schedules to teams - Milano Ballroom
Thursday, April 6, 2023:
Typical schedule:
♦ 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Room Rotations - Across Campus
♦ 12 - 1 p.m. - Lunch Break - Lunch provided for all mentors
♦ 3 - 4 p.m. - Judging
♦ 4 - 7 p.m. - Closing presentation and announcement of winners - Milano Ballroom

What are the expectations of becoming a mentor?
♦ Attend all events; Wednesday evening and most of Thursday. Must stay through to 4 p.m. on Thursday, until the announcement of winners.
♦ Mentor a group of students as they work to investigate a crime scene.
♦ Foster relationships between current students and graduates, who now work in the field.
♦ Be engaging and show off your knowledge and expertise!

Please note, we are unfortunately not able to provide lodging for this event, so we are looking for mentors who are either local to the region or those who would be able to arrange for their own lodging.
What are the expectations/ benefits for students wishing to participate?
♦ Register yourself as a free agent, or register a team of 6 to be placed with a mentor.
♦ Attend all events; Wednesday evening and most of Thursday. Must stay through to 4 p.m. on Thursday for closing reception.
♦ Build relationships with graduates who are working in the crime-solving field.
♦ Participate in real-life problem solving, build your creativity and expand on your teamwork skills.
♦ Open to all academic majors; must sign-up in advance; 10 team limit.

Note: Students need to be in good standing with their classes, and receive permission from their professors to participate. Click here for the signature form for your professors to sign off on. If you do not have permission to miss a class for this event, you may still participate. Your team will carry on without you while you are in class and you can rejoin them when your class has ended.
