Whether you recently started an online bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, have already graduated, or are looking for more information on a program, we would love to see you at one of these events! Join us during the second week of June in Boston and Washington, DC for a complimentary welcome party and networking social. Enjoy tasty treats and drinks while making lifelong connections. 

Distinguished speakers from our Board of Fellows will be in attendance to share their experience at Norwich and offer insight on their careers. Come together and meet Norwich master's students, master's alumni, and undergraduate alumni from your area to ask questions or share your experience and insight.

Kim Baumann
BRIGADIER GENERAL KIMBERLY A. BAUMANN '87 P'20 - Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Rhode Island

Brig. Gen. Kimberly A. Baumann serves as the chief advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to Air National Guard programs, policies, operations, management and command and control of the Rhode Island Air National Guard. General Baumann received her commission as a distinguished graduate of the Norwich University Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Program, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics; in addition, she holds Master Degrees in Operations Research and Strategic Studies as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Education.
She has served in several key leadership positions at the squadron, wing, Major Command, and Headquarters Air Force level. General Baumann has deployed in support of numerous contingencies to include OPERATIONS IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NOBLE EAGLE and JUMP START.
Prior to her current position, the Brig. Gen. was the Air National Guard Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force Chief Information Officer, Pentagon, where she provided guidance concerning support of over 100,000 Air National Guard personnel. In addition, she provided strategic planning, policy, and standards development for Air National Guard Cyberspace operations and support for 88 Wings and 105 geographically separated units in 54 United States, territories and in deployed locations worldwide. In her civilian capacity, the general is a cybersecurity advisor and adjunct professor.

Francisco LeijaFRANCISCO J. LEIJA M'06 - Colonel, U.S. Army
Francisco is a native of Los Angeles, California. He is a professional military officer, completing his 26th year on active duty. In his current position at the Pentagon, Francisco manages the research, development, and procurement funding for the U.S. Army’s Field Artillery munitions and weapon systems. Part of Francisco’s current portfolio is managing existing technology for precision fires and leading next generation efforts through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the DoD’s Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO).
Francisco was previously the Commander of a battalion in the U.S. Army. His battalion consisted of senior active-duty personnel that consulted for nineteen other battalions in strategy & planning, leadership, and functional capabilities. Previous to command, Francisco was a White House Fellow (2014-2015) at the Department of Homeland Security. During his fellowship, Francisco stood up the Department’s first Joint Task Forces on border security under the Unity of Effort Initiative. Prior to the fellowship, Francisco was a member of the Chairman’s Joint Staff. In this position, Francisco led a small team of senior functional experts throughout the Pacific Command (36 countries) to consult on large-scale multi-national exercises.
Francisco graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. He holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Relations from Norwich University and a Master’s in Strategic Design from the Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). His awards include two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. Francisco is certified as a strategist, assistant professor, linguist (Spanish), and holds an active top-secret security clearance.
