Join us to celebrate a seminal moment in American history - the 154th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. This alumni-led tour with Eric Ward '86 will explore the contributions of Vermonters, including Norwich alumni, at the Battle of Gettysburg. The day's activities include the tour, a parade, and evening luminaria ceremony.
It is the perfect way to enjoy a fall day and a great opportunity to live American history. Bring your kids so that they can see history come alive!

**Meet at the flag pole near the Visitor's Center - look for the Norwich flag!
Schedule:
10:00AM - Short tour (walk about 1.5 miles on paved path) of the battlefield with a special focus on the Second Vermont Brigade at Pickett's Charge. After this fascinating walk through history, we will conclude with a ceremony in the National Soldier's Cemetery to honor the 61 Vermonters buried there.
1:00PM - Civil War Parade - fun for kids and adults!
Nightfall - Luminaria ceremony. Everyone is invited to stay for this event - a truly moving tribute to the lives lost at Gettysburg.
